We want to help church denominations in the UK, and chaplaincies in the Diocese of Europe, gather carbon footprint data for their churches so that they can work towards meeting carbon reduction, Net Zero, and other targets. In order to do this we will share data about churches in different denominations with approved representatives from those denominations.

The data that will be shared includes: church or chaplaincy name and location, building names and types, summarised emissions data from each section of the calculator, summarised Scope data where relevant. We don’t share the data underlying the carbon footprint calculations, e.g. energy consumed, distances travelled, amounts spent, etc.

We do not share personal information related to accounts although users can opt-in to share their details which will allow denominational representatives to contact users solely for purposes related to their church's carbon footprint.
